i ordered the new clips Jeff has a link too in a previous post. They are the same as the original only difference is they are metal, and the release clip sticks out past the edge of the shade. They are now installed

I am glad that they worked, I got mine in but have not had a chance to try them out! Good to know you can still get them and even better that they are made of metal instead of plastic!
