We bought a 1989, Coach 210, at the end of August. It's got a couple of little issues but for the most part is in great shape.
We hope to enjoy it for years. I am extremely happy to have found a site that can help out with the nuances of a classic Newell.

I have it stored in a cement building with power but my question is what does everyone do for storage and auxiliary air? With the slides out and the leveling system activated the pump is running every 30 minutes or so which I know means I probably need to be trying to find some potential leaks, but in my early research it sounds like even with no leaks the pump runs about every 3-4 hours if you just walking around the coach and opening up doors.

Does everyone just simply slide the slides in. Air it down on the bump stops and then when it slowly looses air pressure when you want to get it you run an auxillary air compressor to air it back up and open the door? Or does everyone keep them air up all the time? I get that if they were completely leak free in theory it could stay aired up forever but my assumption is none of them are completely leak free?]]>

My first order of business is going to be getting it running and checking the drive line and brakes so I can get it transported from Florida, where it is now to New Jersey where I will be working on it and restoring it. If anyone has any information or can direct me toward a running 555, that would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to this restoration and can't wait to see this classic coach back on the road.

Lurked without logging in for a while and now I'm here.

Currently a Foretravel owner and have been looking for our next coach for a while. Always figured we'd end up with one more Foretravel and then move to a Prevost. Used Newell coaches keep popping up in front of me so - educate, debate, and decide if maybe a Newell fits into that mix?!

I have so many questions on the evolution of the Newell build, options, how & why some things exist, etc.

I have been following a lot of of you guys’s post and I am extremely happy that I found this website. I have some experience with the Diesel pusher as I solo traveled in a 2005 Alfa gold 39’ Diesel pusher for about 2 1/2 years it was nice, but this thing is like 1000 times better.

it’s in a little bit of rough shape as it has sat for about six years I believe the motor sounds beautiful, but pretty much nothing on it works lol maybe one of the ACs out of the three, but I think with you guys’s help in a little bit of money ((maybe a lot)) I can get her back on the road. She already has brand new tires.

I’m hoping to find someone who is mechanically inclined in the Texas area before I go long distance. I’d like to see what I can do by myself and then I would love to maybe go buy someone else that is like way more knowledgeable on all the systems to see if maybe they can help :-).

As you can see some of the pipes are busted :-(I’m guessing they forgot to winterize it when the father got sick Only thing I could get to work was one of the ACs two of them are still pretty warm, but I was using a 5000 W Ot Gen Generator because I couldn’t get the 17.5 on board Generator working, but I suspect it’s because the batteries are too low and it’s not enough fuel so I think once I put the new batteries in there and put some diesel in there, then I can start troubleshooting the generator.

What can we say but Tom and Darlene have been absolutely wonderful to work with and this is my first big coach. So I am a bit overwhelmed and trying to slowly get a grip on all the learning. We picked it up at their place and spent a couple of days going over things and getting all new tires. We drove it back to Tn where we reside in Nashville. We love the bus and have been on a few trips but I am using it now mostly to go to work in atlanta and then back to Nashville. Yes I have a retail store in Atlanta that has been there for 32 years.
That's all for now but wanted to say Hi!!! I am sending his license plate back to him! lol. its the guru plate

I attempted to temporarily patch my slide seals until I could replace them, without any success. Of course each time it was in a Walmart parking lot. I love my bus though. I had purchased my coach from one of our customers, Chris, if anybody knows him. Does anybody here have any history or information on my coach by chance? If so if you can reach out to me, that would be awesome. I'd love to hear anything that anybody knows or has seen my coach anywhere.
