Experiences with Newell Support - Asking if internet rumors have substance
#21

Retailguy,

first, i am sorry you didnt feel welcome at first. that is not usually how folks feel about our forum. we have all had or have other brands of coaches that run the wide spectrum of types. prevosts, wanderlodges foretravels, monacos, country coaches, air streams and on and on. when i started the forum it was to help out me and a small handful of buddies that i had gotten to know from having a newell. mine was a 90 at the time.

i can say that i have hundreds of gurus that i consider friends and that has been the biggest blessing of having a newell. some have newells now and some dont. doesnt matter, they are still my buddies.

we really do try to help each other. i am extremely intolerant of anything i consider bad behaviour. and this forum is not really a aplace were we just feed each about how nice something is. we try to help each other keep these rigs on the road. and newell factory does their best to help with that as well.

i hope you feel comfortable enough now to put you name on your signature

feel free to pm or email me if you would like to talk and i will gladly give you my phone number

happy wednesday

tom

Tom, appreciate your reply, sincerely. My name is Mark. When I figure out how to edit a signature (haven't looked) I'll put it there.

If you look at the top left of this window, you'll see a bright green Button named "User CP" (for Control Panel). Click it, and you'll be taken here and can make all your modifications; signature, avatar, etc.

This is my experience. I have an older coach. 1997

The factory has gotten me some parts that I couldn’t find or get and they come quickly. Cambri in the parts dept is great.

The service work that I’ve gotten done there has been acceptable with a couple hiccups. Great thing about getting work done there is they know what to do and where to start and aren’t figuring it out on your dime. Everyone is always friendly and happy to see you.

They told me they have all the records dating back to the beginning

I do think as time marches on and some of the older techs retire the new ones aren’t as familiar with the older coaches but it’s like that anywhere

This forum is a great resource. They’ve bailed me out more times than I can count

An older coach does rewrite quite a bit of maintenance and upkeep. But everyone here is willing to help and point you in the right direction

Hello everyone, my name is John and I am encouraging my brother to sell his 1974 Newell. He bought it maybe 20 years ago when it was road-ready, and he started planning repairs and renovations but instead had a family! He eventually purchased a nice DP that didn't need any work and he and his family have enjoyed that to this day. His Newell needs a new home and I'm trying to find out information about it so his son can create an ad. I called the service Department and when they heard 1974 they said nobody here will know anything and we don't have any records because that was during the ownership of the original Mr. Newell. Is this correct? Won't they have a folder on it or some information? What's the best way to find out as much as possible about the original build and the specifications of this coach? We are currently looking for the VIN and taking comprehensive photos of it. Any and all help would be appreciated! Thank you.
