I found - K71DAOO-KS1-KBO (OPEN BOX) - 110.00
And - K71DAOO-KCO-KBO - (USED) - 75.00
This page may help you determine suitability. The valves are modular. The model designation denoted the modules combined for the end product. ie: KBO indicates palm button. Have you determined the exact model number that your current valve is?
My current valve model number according to Newell, is #6538, which isnt telling me a lot? I cant determine which is the correct plug and play valve I need. A bit confused at this point.

You are asking for a direct replacement. The valve you are replacing is a common item in the pneumatic world, and the guys have been giving you different options for replacing the valve.
You may not find a direct replacement for a 25 yr old part. But there are many options available to you that function in exactly the same way.
I do have a tendency to overthink things at times. On more than one occasion I have been the victim of ordering the wrong parts. Sorry for any redundancy. I am greatful for everyone's help and advice that is for sure.

Richard, I bought this one you suggested. It is much smaller than mine on the coach. I assume it will perform the task. I would have to drill new holes to mount it on the bracket.
Anything I should know or anticipate before installing it? Thanks, John

The exhaust ports as installed by Newell have a screw adjustment in them. The adjustment is to control the open and close rate.
Thanks Richard, will do.
By the way, Im in Floral City every other week. Have a lake home on Tsala Apopka Lake, and a commercial property on South Florida Ave. I'm working on, near the Golf Driving Range.

So I have been doing some air system checks and trying to find leaks as well as modifying my 120v air compressor. Of course I came across leaking Norgren hand valves for the gen slide and also the one for sliding out the ice chest.
I noticed in this thread that some of you said you tried to rebuild the valves, I am wondering how did you go about that? I also pulled one apart and tried to use o-rings in it but some of the seals are not o-rings, they are more of a rubber disc. So I did some searching to see if I get a rebuild kit for these valves and I came across a spec sheet that gives a rebuild kit number for each unit. I have attached that catalog for reference.
I found the rebuild kit is Norgren Part #54237-56, this is the spool piece with the rubber rings already on it.
I will report back if this fix works or not when I get the spool pieces installed.
I ordered it directly from Norgren at $29.27 each.
I Just replaced it with a China cheapo. I did however take is apart and found water had accumulated from leaking air for many years and corroded the internal slide part of the block.

Thanks Jack!
Mine is as clean as a whistle inside, still has some of the grease in it. I took the one out of the bay for my cooler and just pulled it apart and put some fresh grease in it and it stopped leaking. That was just a trial to see if it was the o-rings. I noticed the o-rings in the gen one were deteriorating, so I am hopeful the new spool pieces will work for mine.
It’s really amazing that mine was not worse, I don’t think they ever changed the air dryer on my coach, but he did mainly use it in the west so maybe it was mostly dry air. I had to fight for several hours to get the air dryer cartridge off. Ended up using a chain wrench to remove it.
