Many Newells I see have an air duct that runs from the HVAC in the basement through the kitchen cupboards exiting in the overhead vents. My question is what is the tube made of where it is visible above the counter top??

if i recall, the ducts are just flex hvac duct and then at some point converts to large abs plastic.
