when I opened the banjo style bolt and hit the little lever I get fuel coming out of the lines. It’s only when I try to open the hard lines that I don’t get fuel at the fuel rail
I realize how hot it is in San Angelo. I lived there.
Your statement above may be crystal clear to you, but not to me. When getting internet help from the gurus, the more specificity you can post the better the response will be.
Answers to the following questions may help us help you.
How much fuel is in the coach? If the gauge is inoperative use a stick.
Can you be specific about which banjo bolt?
What is the little lever you describe, is that the fuel cutoff solenoid? If you do not hold the fuel solenoid OPEN you will never get fuel to the injectors.
Were you cranking the engine when you cracked the nut at the injector? Were you holding the fuel solenoid open?
If you look at the top of the fuel filter, the white star shaped knob is a priming knob. Unscrew it and pump like mad.
If none of that works. Let’s go to basics. Diesels are simple. If it doesn’t run at all it is lack of fuel or lack of air.
Let’s trace the fuel. Start at the fuel pump and remove the discharge line. Does it pump fuel when cranking the engine? If so…..
Replace the line and keep going at each filter and junction till you get to the injectors.
