When I purchased our coach 5 years ago there was water coming in at the sink. A PO had sealed around the window but that didn't stop the leak. Newell sealed up the roof above my galley window and that solved the problem.
At least twice a year I go up on the roof with the intention of inspecting and sealing/resealing rivets and seam joints where needed.
Some of my basement doors are leaking too. I believe the rubber seals are the culprit. The seals are coming off the doors and I need to reglue them. It appears water is getting in at the top of the doors and instead of the seal keeping the water out it is allowing it to come in around the dried up adhesive.
Thanks for the reply, that pretty much validates what i think, that the seam at my front cap and rear are probably leaking. The shore compartment leaking i have observed in heavy rain running down from the metal ceiling in that compartment has to be coming from the roof and the closest culprit is the cap seam. Believe i will go ahead and seal both of those. I may call Newell monday and find out what they use to seal those seams unless you know what they did or used, Thanks again Robert
Newell used a black caulk. I picked up a similar caulk at Lowe's looking for something that stays pliable and good for outdoor use. They used black so I stuck with that. I also use it on my lugnuts to keep the hubcaps from coming off. I lost 2 of them before they told me the trick. Every other lugnut gets a dab before I install them.
