steve, our fridge had a broken shelf (plastic and glass). the plastic part of the shelf was no longer in stock or made at all. the same for one of the wire rack shelves in the freezer.
so darlene spent a day going to fridge salvage places. she found the fridge side plastic shelf (crisper box) and they gave her the glass shelf part. the wire racks she got several different ones that were not quite right.
so, some parts you can still buy, some parts you cannot. if you can buy new, thats what i would do. you do not want a used 13 year old icemaker. it will likely give you the metal flakes.
