I had a mystery hose dripping some what looked like either old antifreeze or oil (brownish color kind of slippery).  It seems like it is coming thru the hole that the steering column goes through.  It is above the drivers side high beam. 

Does anyone know what this goes to??  It was dripping after a trip with heavy rain thru the weekend.

It’s a white hose like what is used for the water pump, braided flexible white hose

So here is my best guess as to what is going on. That is most likely the condensate drain hose for the dash air, however I imagine that the heater core is also in that area and may be leaking coolant and that is what is running out of that line.

I agree with Jeff, my roof tops run run hose like that for condensate, at the front like that probably condensate from dash air

Good ideas guys. That does make sense. I’ll see if I can see if it’s leaking or not or if it was a fluke

Collect some on a white paper towel.

Condensate water will dry out quickly with no smell.

Coolant will dry very slowly over a couple of days and have a sweet smell.
