Does anyone have any operating checklists they would be willing to share? Being new to coach ownership I would find them valuable. I come from an aviation background so I am thinking something similar to what pilots use. Before engine start, before takeoff, after landing, etc.
After gathering some info from this site I made one for myself that I placed by each slide controller. This is for the older hwh slides from the late 90's
SLIDE OPERATION CHECKLIST
1. Parking Brake - Set
2. Transmission - Neutral
3. Check For Outside Clearance
4. Compartment Doors - Closed
5. Furniture/Rugs - Clear
6. Engine - ON
7. Engine Speed - High Idle
8. Suspension - Travel Mode
9. Slide Control - Operate - Never stop mid cycle
do you have slide toppers? If so, UNHOOK them should be on the checklist.
I dont know why HWH says to not interrupt the slide cycle. Trust me if it seems abnormal or sounds abnormal STOP !!!!!!!. Those hydraulics can cause a lot of grief in bending and smashing things.

Electric plug, water, and sewer. I known 1 person that turned off water and stowed sewer, water lines but left the electric for last just to keep it cool on the inside till the engine warmed up then backed out and forgot to unplug the electric. I was not this person but was involved in the repair it was a class C that took a brand new pedestal down.
you can buy premade ones on rv places but i buy the cheap ones for kids on amazon and use a magic market on them....ha i am cheap.... and the premade ones dont say what i want them to say.
it has prevented some issues a few times i will say. then you have to remember to put them on for them to remind you to check things....
