60k for a 95+ Newell
#11

I have a 94-43 ft Newell #347, non-slide coach with an 8V92 motor.  Mileage is ~103,000. Have owned it since 2015 (72153 mis). It is used regularly though not a lot of annual miles. Front tires are new, drive tires are 1 year old and the tag axle tires are about 5 years old. House batteries are Nov 2025, coach batteries are October 2021. One gas heater is new and the other has a new core. All 3 A/Cs work well. Kohler generator has ~2200 hrs and a 200 amp alternator was installed April 2023. July 2025 charged Jernn-Air refrigerator with freon. Squirrel cage blower and aux compressor replaced about 2019. All awnings work and are in good condition. Replaced quickee step, engine oolant, engine tachometer, and front windshield. Have two extra windshield panes. I know it's easy to say, but I don't know of anything that is needed on this coach. Oh btw, I just re-upholstered the front seats. The paint is okay though the end caps have faded and could use a repaint. I can send pictures if wanted. This is a non-DEF vehicle and not required to have an annual smog inspection in California. Housed in a garage.

I appreciate you responding to my post! My wife and I have looked at the following coaches;FT 320 95’, Wanderlodge LXI 2001’, and a 99’ Newell.

Foretravel is the  (Toyota) most affordable, least complicated, factory supported, only 5k towing, most attractive interior (wood), 35-65k

Wanderlodge LXI is the (Mercedes)series 60, tag, better construction quality, more features, appears to be most coach for the $, larger tires, we would want to update interior, 60- 120k plus remodel and updates?

Newell- (Rolls Royce) top tier coach builder, factory support, dated-we will want to remodel the interior, series 60, I’m being told 120-180k plus remodel and update?

I’m wanting to know the differences between the Wanderlodge LXI 01’ and a comparable Newell, and what we will get by stepping up to a Newell.
Thank you,
VA

I’ve had 2 Wanderlodges and 1 Newell.  I can tell you the LXI and a newell coach are very similar in quality. Wanderlodge support it plentiful on the wog forum and coach craft in Georgia work on Wanderlodges. I should say specialize in Wanderlodges.

They are both super high quality. In my opinion the wanderlodge is a tad heavier duty than the Newell. But that’s just my 2 cents
