Transmission fluid good, fast idle goes on and off. I have an OBD2 scanner and doesn't work, even with the cable adaptor. Probably and OBD 1. Has anyone tried using an OBD scanner on the older coaches?

I don’t think you will get an OBD reader to work with the DDEC unless the reader you have has J1708 capability. If you can find someone to loan your their Silverleaf VMSPc setup, you can read the codes. Unfortunately Silverleaf is no longer selling the product. Bluefire is now the only option I know of for getting the codes with a computer based system.
Have you used the keypad to pull the codes?

Rodents chewed the electrical wire to the transmission. Fixed and works now. Check the electrical wires.
Did you get my response?
