So I decided I wanted to be able to quickly check my battery levels in the engine compartment area. So I got a couple of inexpensive battery monitors. Added them and tapped them right into the terminal strip, there are terminals for the chassis battery and for the house battery.

So the chassis batteries are only charged occasionally by the Blue Sea automatic charge relay, it helps to keep from boiling them. Its not currently connected and it has a slight draw on, maybe 0.3 amps. The house batteries are being actively charged.

I am loving having these there to check the batteries without having to dig out a meter or run inside the coach. I just put on a new engine alternator and I never had to go inside the coach to test it. Used the rear start switch to turn the engine on and then checked my new gauge to make sure the alternator was charging as it should.
