We would love to know more about you. Rv experience? Why Newell? Electrical and mechanical comfort level? The answers will help the gurus respond at the appropriate level for your expertise level. Right now we don’t know if you built Indy race car engines or you have trouble plugging in a toaster. Most of us are some where in between

    I’ve had 2 previous diesel rv’s
2020 Bentley 40’
2015 dutch star 40’8”
Also class A gas thor 38’
I also have a 2021 class B travato KL
I started 8-9 years ago with a used rental 19’ with 186,000 miles on it.
I don’t have very good mechanical aptitude but I understand systems.
M70W71 and we travel in the summer 3-4 months in our rv. I still work the rest of the year.We have 2 pups, like hiking and lakes. We’ve driven 10,000 miles in 2024, 8,400 (SoCal to Newfoundland) and this year my wife and drove to Newfoundland (she has family here) via Texas where we spent a month waiting on repairs (new windows, flooring, tires etc ) on the Newell. In 2021 we did a tour of the newell factory. It left an indelible impression on my wife. She’s the reason we own a Newell. Driving it (only about 3,000 miles into it) had been surprisingly easy.

Welcome to the group! I was wondering about your name Newfie, I worked with some engineers on a brewery here in Tampa that were from Newfoundland and they were some of the best engineers I have ever worked with. Not all of them were from Newfoundland but the others were filling us in on the culture of Newfies! Its on my list one day to get up that way and visit. We have some family heritage from Nova Scotia just to the south. 

Well dive in and enjoy the ride. We will do our best to help out, your coach is a bit newer so we have to lean on the guys that have the newer coaches to help out with some of the tech that our older coaches do not have.

My first question is going to be where the release valves are for the bedroom and bathroom doors. There doesn’t seem to be an obvious escape valve. It must be hidden somewhere not obvious.

I would think they are like our air doors, you just push on them and they will move. They use magnets to hold them so they can be opened in an emergency. Then you just have to get it back on the magnet so it will open and close.
