When I turn out my headlights or travel lights on the voltage meter goes down and the temperature gauge on the generator goes up. Is there an electrical silinoid that could be bad or is it a ground problem? Any advice would help.
Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry,
What vintage coach do you have? Are you looking at the Voltage meter on the dash?

Check and clean your ground wires, see if that helps.

Grounds. Newell daisy chained the grounds for the instruments. May be tough to find the culprit junction. Run a new ground from the flaky instrument to the chassis and let us know what happens.

i ran a number of dedicated grounds to the dash to fix various gremlins.

Thanks for the advice. So you think it's not in the light switch or power to the lights, but a bad ground to the instrument gauges? Looks like I just pull off the access in the dash and start messing around?

I had similar problems on 744.
Newell added independent ground wires to certain gauges. Not fun but it corrected the issue.
Good luck.
