I'm having trouble with the gas spring brackets coming loose or bending
on the bay doors. I was looking at pictures of a 1990 and it has a larger plate between the door and the spring bracket, anybody know the
dimensions of these? Or any other ideas would be great.

i made plates and replaced the mounting hardware on my 90. i used 1/8" aircraft aluminum plates and glued them with jbweld and screwed them as well.
they are all rock solid now (right bill?)

I just looked back at where i saw the plates, it was your old rig. Great idea !!

Since Tom was kind enough to give me his leftovers, I can also attest that they do work. I may have to make some additional plates in the future if more hinges start coming loose.
