In case you don’t have enough to do right now..

The one pearl in there that may help your current situation if you feel the check valve has failed. Remove the fuel tank cap, remove the Black vent top from the DAvco. Use your air hose and a rag to pressurize the fuel tank, fuel should flow into the Davco. Don’t do this without help since the person holding the air hose won’t be able to see the Davco. You can get a LOT of diesel to flow with this simple concept, and you don’t want to create a hazmat situation.

Again, call me if you would like 817 223 2056

I will do this in a bit. Not ignoring suggestions. On my way to get pressure tank and fuel.
Can't tell you how much I appreciate all the input on the forum. I ordered check valve from Newell anyway. Looks very difficult to remove as it's back in there. Getting crow (feet) ends.
So a working system will have no bubbles , . Not sure I understand what happens to the air in the fuel bowl as fuel rises/ falls.

Fill hose then davco. Huge bubbles on outside below black ring

Is the fuel shutoff solenoid stuck in the shutdown position?

Do 60 series have a fuel shut off solenoid, I thought that was a 2 stroke thing

So I went through a priming issue with another Newell member. He had a mobile mechanic out and he told him it was all kinds of issues but I checked everything that I could think of and it was definitely a fuel issue. I pulled the line off going to the fuel pump and there was barely any fuel there. I actually blew through the fuel line with an air hose through the check valve and it still would not allow fuel to pass through it, only after replacing the check valve and we also replaced all the fuel line as well were we able to get fuel up to the fuel pump.

To run electronically the Series 60 is a very simple engine, there are two sensors that will stop it from running, a SRS and the TRS. If it was running on fuel at all then those sensors are not the problem and the computer is not the problem, you have a fuel problem.
As Richard stated, the fuel pumps are gear pumps and they will not prime with air in them, you have to get some fuel into them and then they will start pulling fuel, too much air entering and you are right back where you started. If you get past Richards suggestions of looking for bubbles, and you are in the clear with that then you will want to eliminate or replace the check valve as the issue. I was able to source a check valve online that worked perfectly, I will try to find the thread where we fixed this and I posted the check valve that I purchased.

I will be installing a separate line going into the fuel filler. Roadkill show would be proud of my hose routing. I will post a picture tomorrow. Trick will be getting air out of that new hose. Will try a suction gun until no air comes out.
So I can get coach back to my house, a short distance.
Then I will try and find air leak. Hope it's not the long hose.

You do what you have to do. We have a Wanderlodge member that blew his power steering hose, so they ran a new one and zip tied it along the outside of the coach to get by. It’s not pretty but it works!

John, take your time to get it fixed. I will still be here as we are not in any rush. John was on his way to me in Texas for new floors.
